Operation Christmas Child

What We Do

Operation Christmas Child, a program run through Samaritan’s Purse, provides gift-filled shoe boxes to suffering children all over the world. In 2006 we sent approximately 7 million shoeboxes to over 90 countries.

How You Can Be Involved

Find an empty shoe box, or pick one up at church during the fall. Decide whether your gift will be for a boy or girl and choose an age category: (2-4), (5-9), or (10-14). Attach the appropriate BOY/GIRL LABEL on the TOP of your box and mark the correct age category. Fill your shoe box with a variety of gifts, such as toys, school supplies, hygeine items, or hard candy (get a complete list and examples from the info table). Return your boxes to Whittier Hills.

Our Shoebox Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, November 18, at 6pm.
