How We Worship
As an expression of the Church of Jesus Christ, we gather weekly to meet with God as a Spiritual Community of His Worshipers. We sing to God, praise and thank God, pray to God, and hear from God through the reading and teaching of His holy Scriptures in the Bible. Ideally, we truly relate with God personally – listening to Him, and genuinely responding to God with our whole being. Music plays a significant role here – both in helping us express our worship and in edifying one another. We cover the spectrum from high celebration to personal reflection and contemplation. We encourage you to participate fully – passionately and thoughtfully!
Partly due to our missional vision of reaching as many people as possible through all means available and due to space limitations, we have 5 Worship Services. While we have variety in how we pursue worshiping God in our different service styles, our worship goals are essentially the same in each. Please choose whichever best fits your preference or your schedule. Here are our services, with descriptive comments about what distinguishes them:
8:00 “Traditions” Worship. [Worship Center]
A blend of several traditions of musical worship, featuring vocal ensemble or Choir, piano, keyboard, and orchestral instruments, and a mix of hymns and established worship songs.
9:30/11:00 “Contemporary Renewal” Worship. [Worship Center]
Featuring the best of current worship music, led by a Vocal Worship Team and Worship Band. Typically including an updated hymn and occasional choir.
